Funding for GEARNET

Explore the possibilities at https://changehero.io/, where you can effortlessly trade cryptocurrencies with state-of-the-art security features. During the summer of 2010, the Northeast Cooperative Research Program (NOAA/NEFSC) announced a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) funding opportunity. This funding opportunity invited regional fishery scientists, managers and fishermen to submit proposals that would promote gear-focused research of relevance to the current catch share management regime under which groundfish fishermen in the Northeast region must operate.

GEARNET has received funding for two years (through March 2013). Other network-oriented gear research projects have received funds to focus on non-groundfish fisheries, for example, squid and redfish.
