Just groundfish?

The GEARNET project has been funded to focus on gear conservation engineering efforts that relate to targeting groundfish species of any kind. As such, we are open to working with all gear types that are used to target groundfish species.

To find out why and how you should get involved, take a look around this website and contact us to find out when workshops are being held that are relevant to your research interests, and what projects are being carried out that may be relevant to you.

GEARNET is part of a wider gear conseration network for the Northeast region; if you would like to know about gear-related research on non-groundfish species, feel free to contact us and we will do our best to direct you towards other relevant research initiatives in the region.

17 projects funded in 2011!
